Our ambition is to redefine how async events are managed. We want to help teams handle webhooks without having to deal with the complexity by offering the most reliable and simple to use webhook infrastructure.

We’re looking for a Backend & DevOps (SRE) Developer to assist us in further developing our core product. You will be involved in the design and implementation of Hookdeck's core functionality, and in all discussions related to technological choices and roadmap.

What will you be doing?

You'll play a crucial role in building Hookdeck's core platform & infrastructure. Your efforts will allow Hookdeck to scale to handle an ever-growing influx of events.

What you can expect:

  • Work in a small (3-5 engineers) team with a lot of freedom & responsibility;
  • Design and implement architecture to support new Hookdeck features and build them to be reliable as we scale
  • Solve complex technical challenges
  • Improve our current infrastructure to support the growth in usage.
  • On-call shifts

You will be valued for:

  • Your technical expertise, as you already have experience developing and scaling backend infrastructure.
  • Your engineering experience, as you have a strong understanding of system architecture, being comfortable with topics such as concurrency, asynchronous operations, reliability and security.
  • Your ability to consider the customer's experience in your decisions. Everything we build at Hookdeck is designed to serve our users, and it's important to consider their needs when building infrastructure and features. This ensures that we respect their trust and practical needs.

What technical stack will you be working on?

We’re currently working on Kubernetes, Postgres, Clickhouse, Kafka, Redis, Go and NodeJS and React (both in Typescript). We make heavy use of GCP.
