Dashboard v4: Built for Clarity and Speed

We're excited to announce a major refresh of the Hookdeck dashboard. This v4 update is more than just a facelift; it’s a ground-up redesign focused on solving long-standing usability challenges that were getting in the way of your workflow. It also paves the way for our team to ship new features faster and to the high standard of quality you expect.

Our goal was a dashboard that feels both familiar but more intuitive & intentional. We tackled some of the big issues you told us about and finally addressed those smaller, nagging improvements that always seemed to fall off the bottom of the to-do list.

What's New

A New Home for Your Resources

Your core resources—Source, Destination, and Transformation—have officially been rescued from their previously cramped quarters. They now have dedicated pages, making it significantly easier to navigate projects with hundreds (or thousands!) of resources.

Connections also gets the same new alternative table view, giving you more flexibility in how you manage your resources, especially when you have a large number of them.

As part of this, we've introduced some must-have functionalities:

• Alphabetical sorting: Quickly find what you need, no matter how many connections you have.
• Pagination: Easily navigate through your resources, no matter how many you have.
• Quick editing: Make changes on the fly without navigating away from the list view.
• Advanced filtering options: Narrow down your resources with new, more powerful filters.
• Create new resources directly: Source, Destination and Transformation can now be created independently of a connection and used in connections later.

Revamped Metrics

Good metrics aren't a luxury; they're table stakes for understanding your event streams. That’s why we’ve redesigned our metrics from scratch to be more insightful and intuitive.

The individual pages for Source, Destination, Connection, and Transformation have brought their metrics to the forefront.

A Layout Focused on Density and Clarity

The entire dashboard now uses a left-aligned layout designed to make the most of your screen real estate. We focused on data density and clarity. Many pages, such as Issues and Issue Triggers, have new layouts to take full advantage of this new, more spacious layout.

An Enhanced Sidebar

To cut down on your debugging time, the Event and Request sidebar now includes more contextual data. Crucially, we now clearly display headers added by Hookdeck (like x-hookdeck-signature) and any other params configured through your destination.

Looking Forward

This v4 refresh is a foundational step, but we’re not done. We built this new base so we can build better things on top of it, faster.
