User profile

User profile settings are managed from Dashboard account profile settings.

Authentication options

Hookdeck supports authentication with:

  • Email and password
  • Google
  • GitHub
  • Custom SSO via SAML or OIDC

Users authenticated through SAML or OIDC are restricted to their organization.

Manage your profile details

The Account > Profile page lets you manage your personal account settings:

  • Your name: Update your display name and save it directly from the profile page.
  • Your email: Your email is displayed but cannot be edited directly.
  • Password: Set a password (if you currently use SSO) or update your existing password.
  • Linked accounts: See which authentication provider is linked to your account (for example Google SSO).
  • Notifications: Enable or disable email notifications for your account.

To change your email address, contact Hookdeck support.

Disabling email notifications in your profile takes precedence over other email notification settings, except billing-related emails.

Security settings

From the Security section, you can:

  • Enable or disable multi-factor authentication (MFA)
  • Add several authenticator apps to the same account
  • Remove an existing authenticator app
  • Regenerate recovery codes

SMS is not supported as an MFA option.

Delete your account

The Delete account action is available from your profile page and permanently deletes your Hookdeck account and associated account data.

Before you can delete your account, you must not be:

  • An owner of a paying organization
  • An owner of an organization with unpaid invoices

If either condition applies, resolve organization ownership or billing status first, then retry account deletion.

CLI login and profile

You can authenticate with the Hookdeck CLI and manage your CLI profile from there. For CLI login and related commands, see The Hookdeck CLI.
